Series 1400 ALBigBOX^TM chests are fabricated in .090" aluminum with an all-welded design that is intended for extreme-duty use. They are widely used in a range of applications involving anything from the transport and storage of large equipment to the protection of sensitive contents such as precision instruments, electronics and/or munitions. Like our Series 2100 Storage Chests, they are designed to be weather resistant and are often found, as well, in marine-related use.

Standard design features include:

• .090" Aluminum shell thickness (standard).
• ALL-WELDED construction with continuous welded seams and corners.
• Full overlap design with cover overlapping case (1") on ALL four flanged sides.
• Neoprene gasket along entire cover-to-bottom mating surface.
• Padlock hasp (center) plus 4 twist latch locking points. [2 twist latches on Models 1424 & 1436]
• Twin end handles (with 90° stops) provided on each side (4 in total).
• Continuous full-length piano hinge for enhanced case rigidity and maintenance free service operation.
• Solid aluminum rivets (hinge and end handles).
• Steel sash chain cover stay.
• Optional caster kit (factory or field installed) - Refer to Case Options.
